Aaradhya Bachchan Takes Legal Action Against Online Misinformation

Aaradhya Bachchan, the 13-year-old daughter of Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, is taking a strong stand against the spread of false and misleading content online. Recently, Aaradhya moved the Delhi High Court seeking justice after videos claiming that she was critically ill and had passed away went viral on social media platforms.

These misleading videos caused distress to her family and violated her privacy. In response to her plea, the Delhi High Court issued a notice calling for swift action to prevent further spread of such harmful content. Legal notices have been sent to various online platforms and content distributors involved in distributing the false videos.

This is not the first time the court has intervened in such matters. Back in April 2023, the Delhi High Court had ordered a prominent search engine to remove videos falsely claiming that Aaradhya had passed away or was seriously ill. The court strongly criticized these videos for violating Aaradhya’s privacy and damaging her reputation. It also directed the platforms to provide details of those responsible for uploading the misleading videos and take immediate action to prevent further dissemination of such content.

The court also targeted multiple online video channels spreading these harmful claims. The family expressed concern that these videos were designed to gain shock value and attract attention, with no regard for Aaradhya’s well-being or the impact on her family. Despite the distress caused, the Bachchan family remains resolute in their fight for justice.

The next hearing for the case is scheduled for March 17th, and it is clear that the family will continue to advocate for Aaradhya’s rights and dignity. This case serves as an important reminder that no one, especially children, should be subjected to false and harmful content online. It is a fight for privacy, respect, and justice—values that must be upheld for everyone, regardless of their age.
