Saif Ali Khan Remains Unconscious Post-Surgery, Admitted to ICU

Fans of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan are holding their breath as the star remains unconscious, nearly 24 hours after undergoing critical surgery. The actor was attacked on January 16th by an intruder who broke into his Bandra residence. Saif sustained six severe wounds during the altercation, one of which led to significant complications requiring immediate medical intervention.

The attack took place during what is now believed to have been a botched robbery attempt. Reports suggest that the intruder demanded ransom before stabbing Saif multiple times. One of the stab wounds was so deep that the blade had to be surgically removed. The most serious injury occurred in the spine, causing fluid veins to rupture.

Though the surgery was deemed successful, Saif has yet to regain consciousness and is currently under round-the-clock observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Doctors have described this phase as crucial and are closely monitoring his condition to ensure there are no further complications.

The police have released a photo of the intruder, captured while he was climbing down the stairs of Saif’s home. Investigators are exploring all angles, including the possibility of a planned robbery.

Meanwhile, Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, has been a pillar of strength for the family during this harrowing time. She was seen rushing to Lilavati Hospital after the surgery but avoided speaking with the media. Kareena later returned home to care for their children, Taimur and Jeh.

In a brief statement, Kareena expressed the emotional toll the incident has taken on their family. She said, “It has been an incredibly challenging time for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. I respectfully and humbly request the media and paparazzi to refrain from relentless speculations and coverage as we navigate this difficult time.”
