In a concerning development, Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade has reportedly suffered a heart attack while shooting for the film “Welcome to the Jungle,” alongside Akshay Kumar. The incident occurred during the filming, where Talpade fell and was subsequently taken to the hospital later that evening.
According to reports, the 47-year-old actor was admitted to Bellevue Hospital in Andheri West, where he underwent angioplasty. Fortunately, updates indicate that his condition has improved. It has been confirmed that Talpade experienced a heart attack after a full day of shooting, which included some action sequences.
Angioplasty is a medical procedure used to open blocked coronary arteries, and it often involves the insertion of a tube to restore blood flow. Hospital staff have confirmed that Talpade is currently stable and under observation.
Witnesses reported that Talpade was in good spirits throughout the day, engaging in laughter and camaraderie with his co-stars on set. However, after returning home, he expressed to his wife that he was feeling somewhat uncomfortable. Tragically, he collapsed on the way to the hospital, where the heart attack was confirmed.
The actor’s angioplasty was successful, and he is now out of danger. This procedure is typically performed to treat coronary artery disease, which can lead to serious health complications if left untreated.
Shreyas Talpade has received critical acclaim for his work in both Hindi and Marathi cinema over his two-decade-long career, having appeared in over 45 films. He is set to be seen in the upcoming film “Welcome 3,” also known as “Welcome to the Jungle,” which features a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Sunil Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Krishna Abhishek, Paresh Rawal, Tusshar Kapoor, Mika Singh, and Daler Mehndi.
The film is tentatively scheduled for release on December 20, 2024, although this date has yet to be confirmed as shooting is still ongoing.
