Aradhya Bachchan Moves Delhi High Court for Removal of Fake Content

Aradhya Bachchan, the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and daughter of Abhishek Bachchan, has once again taken legal action against online platforms. She has filed a fresh plea in the Delhi High Court seeking the removal of certain content from various websites, in compliance with an earlier court order. This legal battle arises from the continuous circulation of false and harmful content about her.

In April 2023, Aradhya had approached the Delhi High Court regarding fake information, including rumors about her death and health issues, which were spreading across multiple websites. The court had ordered that such content be removed immediately. However, despite the court’s directive, Aradhya alleges that these websites failed to comply with the order.

As a result, Aradhya has refiled her petition in the court, requesting the immediate removal of the harmful content. The Delhi High Court has responded by issuing notices to several websites, including Google and Bollywood Times. These platforms are now required to act in accordance with the earlier court order and remove the offensive content.

The matter has been listed for a fresh hearing in March, and the court has emphasized that the removal of the content is necessary to avoid further damage to Aradhya’s reputation. The case highlights the importance of holding online platforms accountable for the content they host and ensuring that individuals are protected from harmful and misleading information.

Aradhya Bachchan’s legal efforts are a reminder of the power of social media and websites in shaping public perception and the need for appropriate action to prevent the spread of fake news.
