Actor Salman Khan will welcome former Shark Tank India judge and Bharat Pe co-founder Ashneer Grover on the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 18. However, a promo video shows Ashneer being confronted about controversial statements that he had made about the superstar on a podcast.

Salman told Ashneer, “Maine aapko mere baare mein kehte huye suna hai kuch. Aapne kaha ki, ‘Humne toh isko itne mein sign kardiya’. Uska figure bhi aapne galat de diya. Toh phir yeh dogalapan kya hai (I heard you talking about me. You said, ‘We have signed him for this much’. You also gave the wrong figures. So what are these double standards)?”

Ashneer replied, “Aapko jo humne brand ambassador liya (The decision to make you brand ambassador), I think that was one of the smartest moves I made.” Salman responded, “Lekin jis hisaab se ab aap baat kar ahe hani, woh jo maine aapka video dekha hai, yeh aapka attitude wahan par nahi tha (You weren’t talking like this in the video of yours that I watched).”

Ashneer further added, “Maybe in the podcast, it didn’t come across correct”. The short video ended with Salman saying, “Lekin jaese yeh hai, yeh barabar aa raha hai (The way you are speaking now is correct).”

On the Vagehra Vagehra podcast last year, Ashneer talked about being refused to click a picture with Salman. He had said, “Usko humne sponsor rakha tha, uske shoot ke liye mila tha, usko brief karne ke liye company ke baare mein. Teen ghante baitha tha uske saath, uske manager ne bol diya photo nahi khichwani, sir thoda bura maan jaate hain. Maine bola nahi khichwaunga photo, bhaad mein jaa tu, aisi kaunsi heropanti hogayi (We kept him as a sponsor and I met him at a shoot to tell him about our company. I sat with him for three hours and his manager said that there will be no photos with him as ‘Sir’ doesn’t like it. I said fine I won’t do it. Go to hell, why so much attitude).”

Ashneer Grover shared how he secured Salman Khan as a brand ambassador despite financial risks. At a university speech, Grover explained that Salman’s team initially quoted a fee of around $890,000, but he negotiated it down to around $530,000.

Despite the risk of investing around $2.37 million, Ashneer took the gamble, recalling a humorous moment when Salman’s manager jokingly asked if he had come to buy vegetables.

The exchange unfolded during an episode of the reality show when Ashneer Grover, attempting to clarify his past comments, was interrupted by Khan, who made his displeasure clear.

The heated exchange began when Ashneer Grover mentioned a previous meeting with Salman Khan, claiming that he had made Salman Khan a brand ambassador for his business.

Salman, however, was quick to correct him. “I had the meeting with your team, not with you directly,” Salman said, dismissing Ashneer’s version of events. As Ashneer tried to elaborate, Salman continued to cut him off, adding, “I never spoke to you like this, nor did we have any such discussion.”

Ashneer then tried to defend his comments, stating, “The decision to make you the brand ambassador was one of the smartest moves I made.” Salman Khan responded coldly, saying, “Anyone who made me a brand ambassador profited. No one suffered any loss.”

When Ashneer apologised, Khan replied, “I don’t feel bad about all these. It’s just that when you give a wrong impression about someone, it’s not right. Later, it will bite you back.”

Salman Khan further explained, “I didn’t even know your name. When I saw that video of yours, your face seemed familiar, but I had no idea who you were. I’m just saying you should be careful with how you present yourself.”

The public altercation didn’t go unnoticed by fans, with many on social media reacting strongly to the incident. One fan wrote, “I’m sure it was a terrible day for Ashneer Grover,” while another quipped, “Salman just served the real Shark some reality.”

This is not the first time Ashneer has made headlines for his outspoken comments. Last year, in an interview on a podcast, he recalled an incident where he was denied the chance to take a photo with Salman Khan.

He claimed that he had sat with Khan for hours during a shoot, but Salman’s manager had refused the photo request, citing Salman Khan’s preference to avoid public photos. Ashneer’s comment at the time—“I said fine, I won’t do it. Go to hell, why so much attitude?”—created a stir.
