Jaideep Ahlawat has reacted to the shocking burglary incident at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s Bandra home. The actor said that he spoke to them via text.

Speaking to the news agency ANI, Jaideep Ahlawat said, “Direct baat nahi hui but maine message kia tha unko (I did not talk to them directly but I sent a text to them after learning about the incident).”

Jaideep Ahlawat also spoke about the family’s privacy.

He said, “Ajeeb lagta hai dekhkar (It feels weird)…I recently saw a video of a reporter chasing the actor’s car in an unsafe way to get the visuals…it’s so dangerous. Thoda bhaut sabko sochna chahiye (Everyone needs to think a little).”

Jaideep Ahlawat and Kareena Kapoor shared the screen space in Jaane Jaan. The Netflix film also featured Vijay Varma.

Jaideep Ahlawat’s comment comes at a time when Kareena Kapoor and the family have requested some privacy. The couple have also requested the paparazzi to not click pictures of their children, reported Times Of India.

On the day of the attack (January 16), Kareena Kapoor issued a statement and said, “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage.”

Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder on Thursday morning (January 16).

He was stabbed six times by a knife. The actor had neurosurgery and a plastic surgery to repair his  wounds. After six days, Saif Ali Khan was discharged from the hospital.

Jaideep Ahlawat, who was arguably first noticed in a negative character in Akshay Kumar’s 2010 film Khatta Meetha, has been in the industry for over fifteen years. Over the years, he worked on several films against massive star cast. Among them were also the Kapoor family. He had a brief role in Ranbir Kapoor’s Rockstar. He also appeared against Ranbir’s wife, Alia Bhatt, in Raazi and was recently seen opposite Kareena Kapoor in the Netflix film Jaane Jaan.

In a recent interview with ANI, Jaideep shared his experience of working with the Kapoor family, especially Ranbir, who left him mesmerised the whole time. Speaking about the actor, Jaideep said, “I played a very small part against Ranbir Kapoor in one of the scenes in the film Rockstar. I must have worked for about four days with him, but I used to be mesmerised by seeing him in frame. It was evidently visible the kind of hard work he put in the film. He was extremely controlled and fully aware of what he was doing.”

He added, “He is a huge superstar. People would crowd around him when he would pass a street. Security would beef up every time he stepped out. But once he is in the costume, he would become Jordan. He came with a different feeling.”

He also praised Kareena Kapoor, who is known as a Bollywood diva and always in news for her effortless fashion and glamour. However, working with her was a whole new experience for the actor. He said Kareena always came prepared on set.

“I have never seen Kareena rehearsing on set. She always came prepared. She exactly knew when to do what. She was always open to suggestions. She is somebody who has seen stardom for a very long time and she continues to be a star till date. Its not like her stardom is finished. But, you can spot the curiosity to learn in her. She is always excited to learn something new.”

Jaideep also recalled working with Alia Bhatt in the film Raazi. He played the role of the agent who trained her to become a detective. He said, “Alia comes with so much preparation. When I worked with her on Raazi, I could see the efforts she would put. The kind of preparation she had done for the film.”

Jaideep concluded his statement by saying, “Whoever is doing well today, they have been working hard. They are gaining experience with each work they do. They come prepared and are open to changes.”
