Amidst nasty rumours alleging that Ranveer Singh and wife Deepika Padukone are heading for a divorce, the actor stepped up to set the record straight.
Ranveer, who was attending the launch of a jewellery brand in Mumbai, crushed rumours of an alleged divorce when he picked his wedding and engagement rings as his favourite pieces of jewellery. The actor, who is the Indian face of the international luxury jewellery brand, proudly flaunted his gold band at the event and gushed about its significance.

The actor was asked by Vogue India is there was a jewellery piece he was most fond of. The actor picked the pieces which he says had the most, “Personal and sentimental value attached to them.”

Lifting up his left hand to the cameras, he told the portal, “One of the rings that are very dear to me, is this one. It is my wedding ring, presented to me by my wife. The other is a platinum engagement ring, then of course, my mother’s diamond earrings and my grandmother’s pearls”

Singh’s candid declaration of love and devotion comes after rumours began doing the rounds of the actor’s marriage with Deepika, hitting a rough patch. Rumours of trouble in paradise began to swirl after Ranveer followed in his wife’s footsteps and archived all his pictures on Instagram before 2023. These included his wedding pictures.

Over the past months, the couple has been surrounded by speculation of an impending split announcement. However, the two have often chosen not to comment on the rumours.

Deepika and Ranveer are currently expecting their first child together. The couple announced last month that their baby is expected to arrive in September 2024.
Meanwhile, on the work front, they will be seen sharing screen space in the upcoming Rohit Shetty film ‘Singham Again’.
