In two separate incidents, actor Salman Khan and his family faced trouble again. In one incident a youngster rashly drove his two-wheeler entering Khan’s convoy in Bandra, Mumbai, on Wednesday morning. The same day his father and writer Salim Khan was also threatened near Band stand by a burkha-clad woman, who mentioned jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s name.

The person asked Salim Khan, while he was on his morning walk, “Lawrence Bishnoi ko bheju kya?” (Should I send Lawrence Bishnoi?), said the Bandra police that registered two separate FIRs in the two incidents.

A senior police officer confirmed to The Indian Express that both the incidents are separate and they have arrested the suspects in both the cases. “In the second case the couple gave threats to Salim Khan out of mischief. The man wanted to impress his girlfriend. They have no connection with any gangs.”

Actor Salman Khan, who in the past faced several threats, including from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has Y+ category security. A convoy of security personnel and commandos surrounds his vehicle wherever he goes.

According to the police, in the first incident a college student from Bandra (West) intruded into the actor’s convoy between Mehboob Studio and Galaxy Apartment.

The suspected biker, Uzair Mohiuddin, 21, rashly rode his vehicle parallel to the actor’s car despite the security personnel signalling and warning him to stay away from the convoy, a police officer said. Eventually, the biker was intercepted outside Galaxy Apartment by a police patrol team.

Mohiuddin was booked under sections 125 (act in dangering life or personal safety of others) and 281 (rash driving) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), said another officer from Bandra police station.

In the second incident, the actor’s father Salim Khan, soon after he was threatened, noted the number of the scooter used by the couple and informed the police who later detained them with the help of the CCTV, a source said.

The couple was booked under sections 353(2), 292 and 3(5) of BNS.

In April, four rounds of gunshots were fired outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence.

Mumbai Crime branch later arrested six members of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang in connection with the incident. The attack was carried out at the behest Bishnoi to gain popularity, the police had said.
