Amitabh Bachchan Faces Legal Trouble: FIR Filed Against Him Over ‘KBC’ Controversy

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has found himself at the center of a major controversy. Recently, news surfaced on social media claiming that the police had arrived at Bachchan’s residence, ‘Jalsa’, with the intention of arresting the actor. This followed the filing of an FIR (First Information Report) against him due to a controversial question asked during an episode of the popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).

The controversy began after a question about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the burning of certain religious texts was posed during a recent episode of KBC. The question asked contestants about the specific religious text burned by Dr. Ambedkar and his followers on December 25, 1927. The options included religious texts like the Vishnu Purana, Bhagavad Gita, Rig Veda, and Manusmriti. The correct answer was Manusmriti, a text that Dr. Ambedkar condemned for promoting caste-based discrimination.

The matter escalated when Amitabh Bachchan, after posing the question, spoke about the significance of the burning of the Manusmriti and how it was used to protest against social inequalities. This led to public outcry, with many people accusing Bachchan and the KBC show of promoting controversial views. The backlash culminated in an FIR being filed against the actor and the show.
