Aradhya Bachchan Moves Delhi High Court Again Over False Health Video

Aradhya Bachchan, the daughter of Bollywood celebrities Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, has once again approached the Delhi High Court, seeking the removal of false videos and misleading information about her health circulating online. This comes after several websites posted content claiming that the 13-year-old was suffering from serious health issues, and in some instances, even falsely claimed that she had passed away.

On Monday, the Delhi High Court issued a notice to Google, asking them to respond to Aradhya’s plea for the removal of the misleading videos. The plea was filed following Aradhya’s concerns about the harmful impact of these fabricated reports on her well-being.

Delhi High Court Asks Google to Remove Misleading Content About Aaradhya Bachchan

This legal action follows a similar petition filed by Aradhya Bachchan just a few months ago. In that case, the Delhi High Court had directed the removal of misleading content from various platforms, including Google and Bollywood Times. The court had specifically ordered platforms like YouTube to take down videos claiming that the young girl was suffering from a serious illness. Some sites had even spread false rumors of her death.

While several platforms complied with the court’s order, others continued to circulate the misleading content. As a result, Aradhya’s legal team has now filed a fresh petition, requesting that the content be immediately removed from the websites that failed to adhere to the earlier notice.

In her petition, Aradhya’s legal representatives emphasized that every child, regardless of their parent’s status, has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. They highlighted the importance of preventing the spread of misleading information that could harm a child’s physical or mental well-being, noting that such actions are intolerable under the law.

The case also pointed out that some of the YouTube uploaders who had posted the false content failed to appear in court and had thus forfeited their right to defend their actions. Aradhya has requested a summary judgment in the case to ensure that justice is served swiftly.

The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear the matter again on March 17th, 2025, and it remains to be seen how the court will rule in this case that has attracted widespread attention. The outcome could set an important precedent regarding the protection of children’s privacy and rights in the digital age.

As Aradhya and her family continue to seek justice, the case underscores the growing need for stronger regulations to control the spread of fake news and harmful content online, particularly when it concerns vulnerable individuals like children.
