Swar Kokila Lata Mangeshkar may not be among us today but she will always be present among us with her voice. There are many stories about her but there is one story about Shahrukh Khan which is very interesting. During a live show, Lata ji suddenly took Shahrukh’s name and said that she always has a complaint against him.

Once Lata Mangeshkar and Sudesh Bhosle were doing a live show. Suddenly Shahrukh Khan also reached that show, so Lata ji stopped the show in between and said a few things for Shahrukh Khan, let’s know what those things were?

What did Lata Mangeshkar say about Shahrukh Khan?

As soon as Shah Rukh Khan came and sat in that live show, Lata Mangeshkar complained to him. That day Lata ji said, ‘Shahrukh sahab namaskar…you don’t say namaskar but I am saying namaskar. I have always complained that you don’t talk. I even told you once that I like your work very much, then you said thank you and ran away. Today I came to know that you are a little shy, but it doesn’t matter, thank you very much for the respect you have given me by coming here.’

Shahrukh Khan does not say anything on this because he is sitting in the audience but he stood up, folded his hands and acknowledged Lata ji’s words and indicated that we will meet after the show. Lata ji has sung songs in superhit films of Shahrukh Khan like ‘DDLJ’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘Mohabbatein’ and ‘Veer-Zara’.

This year is the third death anniversary of Lata Mangeshkar

Lata Mangeshkar, born in a Marathi family in Indore on 28 September 1929, got the gift of singing from her father Deenanath Mangeshkar. All the sisters and brothers of Lata ji are associated with music. After the death of her father, Lata Mangeshkar took the responsibility of the family at an early age and continued to fulfill her responsibilities throughout her life without getting married. Lata Mangeshkar made a place in the hearts of the whole India with her voice. Lata ji died at the age of 92. This year i.e. 2025 is her third death anniversary.
