The singing sensation has earned her name for herself in the industry with her melodious voice and her bubbly personality. She has delivered some of the greatest hit songs in both films as well as albums which have become party anthems as well. Widely popular among the younger audiences, Neha is also seen as a judge in the singing reality shows like Indian Idol and Superstar Singer.

The images of her arrest immediately went viral leaving her fans worried. The images were accompanied by texts like ‘end of Neha Kakkar’s career’ and more.

In the photos circulating on the internet, Neha can be seen crying as police personnel arrest her. The photos were shared with the text, “Tragic end to Neha Kakkar’s career! This morning’s news was a shock to all Indian people! (sic).”

Besides, the photos also came with links, which redirected to a malicious website when clicked. The website had a fake interview of Neha promoting a trading brand ‘Emarlado’.

Truth behind Neha Kakkar’s arrest

It turns out that the pictures of Neha’s arrest are fake and Neha has no connection with the website or the alleged scam. The pictures are AI-generated including photos of another woman being arrested while the face being swapped with that of Neha’s.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time such incidents have come to light. Previously, the names of big celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan and Ranveer Singh were used to attract people to the investment scam website. The deceitful posts featured Big B and Ranveer endorsing the platform, and claiming high monetary returns with minimal investment.

Notably, Neha or her team are yet to react to the also viral photos of her arrest.
