Saif Ali Khan Attacked: Wife of alleged detained intruder reveals actor’s manager called him for furniture work, “koi mere admi ko maarne ka plan…”

The wife of the carpenter detained in Saif Ali Khan attack case recently shared the update that the police have been investigating for the past 24 hours.

The news of the attack on Saif Ali Khan has left the entire nation and the film industry shocked. On January 16, 2025, reports emerged that the actor had been stabbed by a burglar at his Mumbai residence. As the actor recovers in the hospital, the police have detained some individuals including a carpenter, working at the house. The carpenter, Waris Ali, was detained for questioning on suspicion of his involvement in the matter. However, the carpenter’s wife spoke to the media and claimed that her husband was called by Saif’s manager for furniture work.

She also said that her husband had not been arrested and had been taken into custody by the police and that they had been investigating for the past 24 hours.

Carpenter’s wife react

IANS shared a video in which Waris Ali’s wife mentioned that her husband had been called by Saif Ali Khan’s manager for furniture work, after which he began the job with a team of five people. She also mentioned that the CCTV footage also showed her husband him arriving for work and then returning home afterwards.

She explained that they later got to know about a robbery at their house. Subsequently, they received a call, and her husband was summoned.

She confessed that at first, they received a call from a woman which made them scared that someone might be plotting against her husband. However, later her husband contacted Saif’s manager to inquire and he was asked to come immediately.

Waris’ wife added that she went to the police station to meet her husband, however, she was not allowed since the interrogation was still ongoing. She emphasized that her husband had not been arrested and was only being questioned. She also mentioned that he had been eating, drinking and resting inside and wasn’t being troubled.

Saif Ali Khan attack

The incident took place at 2.30 AM on Thursday. The thief allegedly got into a fight with the maid and attacked Saif after he intervened. The actor was stabbed 6 times and suffered severe wounds, for which he had to undergo surgery. Hours after the surgery, his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, released a statement on her official social media account asking fans and the media to respect their privacy.

Meanwhile, the doctors at Lilavati Hospital, where Saif is being treated shared that the actor is recovering and is out of danger. According to the latest update, the actor also walked for the first time after the surgery today.
