In the press conference before Bigg Boss season 12, Salman Khan had told that he was not the original choice to host Bigg Boss. Before him, Shahrukh Khan was approached to host this show.

According to Salman, the makers of the show first wanted to cast Shah Rukh Khan but at that time he was not in a position to shoot due to a shoulder injury. After this, he got a chance to do Bigg Boss.
