Salman Khan beefs up security at Galaxy apartment as threats don’t seem to end; Viral video of new arrangements emerges

The security threats that face Salman Khan are showing no signs of easing and in this context, it is only understandable that he take measures to improve his security.

In the recent past, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been in the middle of an unprecedented crisis as he has been constantly facing increasing security threats, mostly from the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The actor has received numerous death threats and in April 2024, gunshots were fired outside his Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai. This incident sent shockwaves through the industry and among his fans. He is threatened not only in relation to his public appearances but also with respect to his personal life.

These concerns intensified even further after the shocking incident that took place in October 2024, where his close friend, NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was murdered and the responsibility for the crime was claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threats are still ongoing as there is much concern for Khan’s safety.

The Lawrence Bishnoi threat

The threat primarily comes from Lawrence Bishnoi and his associates. The gang is responsible for many high-profile crimes such as extortion, murders, and allegedly even narco-trafficking. Bishnoi, in jail, continues to orchestrate criminal activities from behind bars. His gang is known for its ruthless tactics and extensive network of operatives across India.

The gang’s notoriety surged following the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022, an act for which Bishnoi claimed responsibility. The gang’s threats against Salman Khan are reportedly linked to the actor’s involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, which holds significant cultural importance to the Bishnoi community.

Salman Khan bolsters security

Under the increasing death threat, it has recently come to light that Salman Khan has taken more measures to improve the security of his home. A video surfaced of Galaxy Apartments as it has been renovated to a great extent to make it safer, including the installation of more security gadgets and structural changes to the balcony and windows.

Khan had previously bought a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV worth around Rs 2 crore to ensure his safety while traveling. Mumbai Police have also set up a special command centre at his residence, and his security team has been strengthened with more armed officers. These measures reflect the seriousness of the threats against Khan. One can only hope that thnigs go back to normal at the earliest!
