That oath, that promise, that resolution which the people there fulfill even by sacrificing their lives. The Hindi meaning of these two lines is – ‘Those who follow the 29 rules of Jambheshwar from their heart are Bishnoi.’

In these 29 principles, there is also a rule of Blackbuck which the Bishnoi community loves more than their life and this Blackbuck has become a problem for Salman Khan. The murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique and the continuous threats to Salman Khan have once again exposed the long-standing controversy related to the killing of these Blackbucks.

At that time, people of this community protested against Salman Khan. On the other hand, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who was probably 5 years old at that time, vowed to take revenge from Salman. Although it may be a matter of debate whether the black buck is the main reason for Lawrence’s animosity towards Salman, but there is no doubt that the Bishnoi community has a deep relationship with black bucks and chinkaras.

550 years old relationship

For the Bishnoi community, this is a 550-year-old relationship. The Bishnoi community, founded by guru Jambheshwar (also known as Jambaji) around the 15th century, is guided by 29 principles. Their teachings emphasize the protection and preservation of wildlife and flora. One of the core tenets of Bishnoi philosophy is the worship of the blackbuck as the reincarnation of their spiritual guru Jambheshwar.

Women of Bishnoi society breastfeed the black deer’s babies

Women of the Bishnoi community even breastfeed the baby deer. During the British period, Taroji Rahhad, a farmer of the Bishnoi community of Sheeshwal village in Haryana, protested against the British officer who hunted black deer. He went on a hunger strike and then this hunting was banned. Many people of the community even sacrificed their lives.

A menstruating woman should stay away from household work for five days.
Take a bath every morning.

Do not cut green trees.
To control the vices like lust, anger etc.
Cooking with your own hands.
Keep that saying immortal.
Do not castrate the bull.
Do not eat the fruit.
Do not consume tobacco.
Do not consume cannabis.
Do not drink alcohol.
Do not eat meat.
To give up blue clothes and indigo.
