Special permissions had to be obtained from Delhi for the aircraft to land at a military base, which was located about 45 minutes from the hospital. Amitabh mentioned how anxious he was during this time, and he stayed in close contact with Aishwarya’s mother to ensure that all necessary steps were taken for her recovery.
